PSL 7 promises to be an exciting one as all the PSL franchises will be determined to put in better performances than their previous campaigns to rank the best on PSL Points Table.

The franchise will be looking to finish within the top 4 in the PSL 7 points table once again.
Lahore Qalandars, on the other hand, finished last on the PSL points table last time around and will be looking to overcome a disappointing season by finishing in the top four in PSL points table.
Lahore is the only team to have finished outside the play-offs position on 5 occasions as they ranked 5th or higher on PSL Points Table. With a new captain in-charge, the expectations for this season are high.
Two venues will host PSL this year. National Stadium Karachi will host the first phase of the tournament from 27 January to 7 February. Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore will be the host for the second phase, which includes the play-offs and the final. Both the venues will host 15 matches each.
The competition to finish in the top four spots in the PSL points table 2022 is going to be exciting as the six teams look to win the grand prize come 27 February.
PSL 7 Points Table Criteria
The format of the tournament is according to the double round-robin format. Each team will go head-to-head twice with other teams in the group stage to beat the PSL Points Table. The top four teams will qualify for the play-offs. The rules and regulations of the tournament are in accordance with the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) rules.
The points system implemented in the PSL Points Table 2022 is the same as the points system in the previous seasons or in any other ICC authorized franchise T20 league around the world.
Rankings will be determined by most accumulated points after 10 matches in group stage. The teams that finish in top four in the PSL points table will move onto the next round. Two points will be awarded for a victory on the table, one point will be awarded if the match ends in a tie and zero points for a loss.
Super over will be played if a match ends in a tie.
The following criteria will determine the ranking of the teams in the group stages:
- The team with the highest points on PSL Points Table at the end of the group stage will finish in the first position.
- If teams have an equal number of points on PSL Points Table, then the team with a higher net run rate will finish higher.
- In case, the points and the net run rate are equal on PSL Points Table. The team with the highest number of wins in the group stage will finish higher.
- If the above criteria are equal as well, then the team with fewer losses will finish higher in the PSL Points Table.
- If all the criteria remain equal. The result of the head-to-head between the two teams will determine the league position and the rank on PSL Points Table.
The team which finishes at the top of the PSL points table 2022 will face the second-placed team in the qualifier, while the third-placed team on PSL Points Table will go head-to-head with the fourth-placed team in the first eliminator.
The winner of the qualifier will move straight to the final. Meanwhile, the loser of the qualifier will play the winner of the first eliminator in the second eliminator. The winner of the second eliminator will face the winner of the qualifier in the final.
The winner of the match will be decided via super over if it ends in a tie. In case of super over ending in a tie, the higher ranked team in group stage will be the winner of the match.
