Fans Demand PTV to Air Premier League 2020 as #PremierLeagueDikhaoPTV Trends on Twitter

Football fans in Pakistan have long stopped watching live football matches on PTV. Football leagues such as Serie A and League One can be watched live on several sports channels, and La Liga can view for free on Facebook. Still, the most famous league globally, the English Premier League, is not broadcast live on Pakistani television channels PTV.

Broadcasting rights for the Premier League in Pakistan are regulated by PTV Sports, but matches are not broadcast live. After giving in to pressure from Pakistani football fans on Twitter, PTV Sports decided to broadcast last year’s live matches, but it didn’t take long.

Football fans have launched the #PremierLeagueDikhaoPTV Twitter campaign calling on PTV to broadcast football matches live. Here are some tweets about the subject:

The fan’s urge seemed to be in their ears until the former Minister of Information and the current Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chowdery noticed. Fawad told fans that he would hold talks with MD PTV and Minister of Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz on the matter.

Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr. Fehmida Mirza noticed this trend and showed her support for the football brotherhood urge PTV to broadcast EPL 2020-21.

We hope that football fans in Pakistan will be able to watch the Premier League live on PTV soon.

Star Sports will broadcast live coverage of Premier League 2020-21 in India. We want PTV to broadcast EPL 2020 Live on PTV Sports.
